Senior tailings engineer managing and directing tailings storage facility (TSF) projects. The tailings projects were mainly located in Western Australia and South Australia although I was also involved in projects in Africa (Mauritania, Republic of Congo, Tanzania). The tailings were generated from a variety of minerals, including Gold, Iron Ore, Nickel, Graphite and Vanadium. I have been involved in all stages of the project life cycle from scoping and feasibility of tailings projects, through detailed design and construction of TSFs, into operations and closure of the TSF. Working within a team I was involved in the design, testing, analyses and reporting of tailings management projects located in Europe, Asia and Africa. During my time at Scott Wilson I spent six months at a mine site in Mauritania assisting with the construction of a TSF and dump leach pad.

Working in the Resource Centre of Excellence, I support BHPs tailings team across Australia and the globe with risk management, technical advice, GISTM conformance and reporting.

Working within a team, involved in all stages of a project from quoting, through site work, testing and reporting to invoicing. Worked mainly on small to medium housing and commercial construction. Exposure to geo­-environmental issues on straightforward sites.
