Participate in oceanographic cruises and field experiments. Create/operate software system for shipboard computers. Set up and maintain XBT data gathering system. Maintain temperature calibration system in laboratory for ocean drifting buoys. Assist in staging and dismantling of oceanographic expeditions, including loading and unloading of ship, procedures of mailing and receiving equipment in foreign ports, driving vehicles for equipment delivery to ships and to laboratory.
