In my position as a Quality Inspector for an aerospace overhaul and repair facility, I had the opportunity to learn and participate in several detailed processes and procedures. Some of my daily functions included visual inspections, penetrant inspections, and dimensional inspections at incoming, in process, and final stages. I followed procedures, interpreted drawings, verified specifications, verified purchase orders and certifications, and completed reports.

As lead inspector managing two level one inspectors in training, I was responsible for as received, incoming, in-process, and final inspection of turbine engine components in for repair and/or new assembly. I analyzed and inspected different coatings and performed material analysis, U/T wall thickness Inspections, and Moment Weight Sequencing of turbine and compressor blades. I performed inspections for manufactured parts during first operation and first piece to final inspection processes using a variety of calibrated measuring tools and component blueprints and drawings. I created inspection reports, non conformance and corrective action reports, in house audits and process/ operations reviews making necessary changes. Occasionally I was responsible for unloading, re loading, and operating a Vacuum Furnace and an open air furnace. Occasionally designed and fabricated fixtures (utilizing my drafting and TIG welding abilities) for moment weight fixture arms, dimensional inspections, and various tasks that were presented to me.
