My responsibilities can be varied day-to-day, with a focus on adapting to the incidents and tasks at hand.The role involves working closely with internal and external parties, with my communication skills and knowledge of our customer base coming in handy. As a NOC engineer, my role involves working with a variety of customers, services and technologies in order to fulfill SLAs, remediate problems and resolve cases for our clients. This can range from communicating with suppliers through outages, working on restoring site services and resiliency, right down to completing change requests for individuals through our CRM system. Alongside this I work with experienced professionals who I am able to defer to (and shadow) when a task may exceed my knowledge or responsibilities.
