* As a student employee I was the operator and care-taker of the Dimension SST 1200es in the Architecture department. I would provide pre-print guidance to students, run and post-process parts, maintain the machine and perform periodic maintenance and track it's inventory of supplies.

* Due to a sudden unexpected staff departure at the School of Architecture + Design, I was asked to step in as an interim student computing resources manager to oversee the student employees and maintain the equipment available to the students while the department completed the search process for a permanent replacement for the position. I served in this capacity through the search, and then provided on-boarding support for that person while they acclimated to the job. Work included overseeing 9 student employees, 4 print & scan labs with plotters and wide-format scanning equipment, a Dimension 3d printer, a large laser-cutter, and a substantial amount of check-out photography equipment available to students.

* While at Amtek I worked in two distinct roles—both in sales and service & support. In the sales role I was responsible for taking leads from initial contact through proposals, closing the deal, and then delivery and training on the products. The products I focused on were Stratasys 3d printers, Universal Lasers, Creaform 3d scanners, Roland and Denford CNC equipment, Solidworks & other CAD/CAM packages and associated training software, and lab furnishings. In the service role I was responsible for providing customer support and training on all the product areas I sold, running workshops/training seminars, diagnosing and performing field repairs on Stratasys 3d printers and other products, and overseeing installations. I also provided graphics and renderings for in-house use and for proposals and documentation.

* Responsible for developing new business and serving as the client's advocate through the entire design and development process—from initial contact to final sign-off. The "buck stops with me" on ensuring that we're creating value for our clients that they wouldn't get with just any other agency, and I take that challenge seriously. We're focused on being a partner, not just a vendor, and our contracts and implementation of performance-based incentives in our work reflects this. I also provide guidance for the agency vision and direction, as far as what new technologies and platforms we should develop more competency in to better serve future and current customers, and where we want to be to best align with the kinds of clients we want to work with most.

* Union|Nine was my DBA for design consulting: conceptual development, illustration, pre-visualization, 3D modeling and CAD work, parametric modeling, 3d-scanning & processing, glamour/studio renderings, and pre-manufacturing guidance/audits on methods and materials. I've worked for clients in a variety of industries: consumer home-goods, early-childhood-development products, civil engineering project visualization, packaging for the floral/horticultural industry, medical product design, technical documentation, and assistive technologies design for disabled persons. I closed up shop for projects when I started at Markforged.
