As media director for UBC Waco, my responsibilities were to run and maintain the audio and video equipment used weekly for church services. We would also hold special events such as concerts and weddings at which I would operate or oversee the use of our media technology.

My main role as Media Technology Specialist was to help the college implement and manage a video lecture capture and streaming solution. It quickly evolved into the knowledge of all areas of classroom and learning technology, from video streaming to interactive projection systems, programming and maintenance of smart classrooms, and the development of materials and training for instructional technology.

My primary job at MCC was coding for over 100 Crestron integrated A/V control systems and maintaining classroom technology including projectors, video-conferencing solutions, document cameras, etc. Along with classroom technology, I was also responsible for managing and implementing new systems for lecture capture and video streaming as well as podcasting, digital signage, and live events. This pushed me to learn the basics of programming such as HTML, Javascript, and Applescript. I also assisted in part of the website re-design and produced the a few videos for the college, working closely with the marketing department.

As a technical coordinator, I oversaw and implemented the technical aspect of events both on and off campus. I was behind the scenes, making sure PA systems are loud and clear, visual presentations are bright and crisp, and any other tech-related hurdles get cleared before many of Baylor's important events. I worked with a wonderful team of other techs, set designers, and event planners.
