  • Financial Account Analyst

    Greenville, Sc, Us
As a Financial Account Analyst at ScanSource, I am responsible for managing a portfolio of customers' accounts in Central America and the Caribbean. I maintain positive relationships with my customers as well as with ScanSource internal departments to keep past due balances at a low percentage and acceptable level. I communicate with customers to resolve past due invoice disputes and research customer’s assertions related to claims and deductions for timely resolution.I analyze financial statements and public information of customers in order to determine a trade credit limit that assumes an appropriate level of risk while at the same time maximized each customer’s purchasing power. When customer’s do not meet underwriting minimums alternative financial solutions are reviewed such as Leasing, ESCROWs, and various types of Guarantees.Promoted from Account Analyst to Financial Account Analyst, a position with higher underwriting and approval authority.
  • Account Analyst
    Scansource ['May 2017', 'Aug 2017']
    Greenville, Sc, Us
As an Intern at ScanSource, I was responsible for updating the financial reviews for over 100 different companies. I gathered and recorded data from different sources including credit reports, financial statements, and internal account records into a “Scoring Model” report and analyzed the creditworthiness of those companies in order to recommend a trade credit limit with ScanSource. I analyzed past due accounts receivable balances and communicated with customers in order to resolve past due invoices. In working through these reconciliation issues I gained extensive knowledge in the navigation of SAP ERP. I managed credit card refund requests by following the company standard credit card refund process of pulling and documenting transaction records from SAP ERP. The Internship Group Presentation program allowed me to learn about collaborating with coworkers as well as how to work through issues as a group. My group of four interns saw a currently utilized business system called “CRM” (Customer Relationship Management) and brainstormed a creative plan for further utilization of that business system in order to assist sales representatives and tech support in better communicating with each other. My group was given the opportunity to present our plan in front of the ScanSource Executives, Vice Presidents, and Managers.
