I started working as a black and white T.V. Engineer but after obtaining the Companys' top colour servicing certificate as well as various other Company Certificates I was involved in the repair of colour receivers. In my last 18 months of employment with Rediffusion I was in charge of all of the audio equipment servicing. This involved me in the ordering of all the required spares and circuit diagrams needed.

I was responsible for fault-finding and commissioning of a whole range of electronic equipment with special emphasis on sound and CCTV systems.

Upon leaving school I started work with this Radio and TV Company and an apprentice. I was allowed day release to attend Brunel Technical College.

Preparing courses in IBM, COMPAQ, AMSTRAD, RML and TANDON computer systems etc. and specialist units for PSU's, VDU's, Network Systems, Micro Channel Architecture and Disk Drives. Instruction of own nationwide Service, Field and Bench Engineers in the above courses.

Repairing and carrying out preventative maintenance on all types of industrial manufacturing equipment used for the development of thick film sub-strate, which includes laser trim, A.T.E., pick and place, printers etc. Designing a software package for the maintenance control of the entire operation using the Pascal Programming Language.

Flight Simulator Engineer at J & B Services

Based in Bristol, I was handling the servicing and commissioning of Industrial and Marine Electronic Equipment. This involved a great deal of travelling, including overseas, to Customers' premises, this included three months in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Here documentation and reporting was strictly adhered to for the Customers as well as S.E.S. During my time with S.E.S I was sent on various training courses covering a wide range of industrial equipment, including PYE R.F. generators, Kearns Richards Borers, CN and CNC Systems etc. These courses were of a level that required me to train my fellow employees.
