Helped introduce Xylan Switches into market, by conducting demo's and installations. Worked in the Customer Support Group, supporting customers and Xylan Sales Engineers around the world. Traveled extensively around the world, installing Xylan switches, and troubleshooting complex customer network issues. My last two years with Xylan involved staging large customer networks in our System QA Lab, providing a high level of quality assurance, regressive testing over a large customer simulated network, in order to prevent the customer from realizing any major software bugs in their production network. I received several MVP's from Sales, for supporting their Sales Engineers in a highly professional and very efficient manner.

Help transition company from using serial links, via Gandalf equipment to various minicomputers, such as Data General and Digital Corporation, to using ethernet as a media throughout the building. Converted company network from using Vitalink bridges to Cisco Routers, (AGS), introducing fiber optics, FDDI, Synoptics concentrators. Designed, budgeted, planned, implemented, and installed a large national WAN/LAN for all outlying Sales Offices throughout the United States, and our London Sales Office. This allowed our Sales offices connectivity via the WAN, to our corporate office in St. Louis, and our CAD/CAM division in Cypress, Ca. Implemented a Frame Relay WAN infrastructure between outlying offices and corporate/CAD/CAM division.

Operated and serviced Naval Communications equipment. Worked as a Morse code speed key operator, receiving traffic, relaying traffic from US and USNS ships, while station on Guam, M.I. Worked at Transmitter and Receiver sites on Guam and Italy. Performed as a Satellite Operator at an Earth Station, while stationed in Southern Italy. Served two deployments to Viet Nam, on a heavy cruiser, performing as a communications operator and maintenance person of UHF, VHF, HF and VLF communications equipment. Maintained antenna's throughout the superstructure. Worked in data center, routing traffic, editing high priority messages, and performing several other data center duties. Maintained TS SPECAT during this period of service.

Used my expertise in the Network Field to help Red River Solutions perform an audit of all router/switches, wireless equipment, printers, faxes and associated ETHERNET connections, for all Bank Of America data centers in Southern California. Was able to establish a large merchant service portfolio, whereby I still receive a residual check month to month, from clients set up between 2002 and 2005. I was an expert at ensuring the merchant got set up for exactly what they needed which therefore enabled me to have a very low turnaround with my client base. Responsible for testing Fibre Channel Host Buss Adapters, Fibre Channel Switches, and other related equipment in a QA test environment. Staged Troika HBA in various vendors servers, such as Dell, HP, IBM, Sun Microsystems. Also tested various storage systems connected to Fibre Channel.Acted as liaison between Netapp and Troika's engineering department, in order to ensure high quality delivery of Troika's software releases for Netapp's use, in their Netapp servers.

End User Support at Guitar Center, providing Corporate and Store Support for desktops, laptops, printers, audio, VPN connectivity, and some network troubleshooting. Replace, repair, refresh and re-image computer equipment at corporate and all GC stores when necessary. Was responsible for upgrading XP OS on over 150 computers to Windows 7E. Our department is responsible for ensuring that many of the various applications, and a wide range of other functionality that GC end users need is 100% functional on their respective computer, We track each problem through a ticketing system, add assets, coordinate between departments when needed and much more.
