Administer school wide hearing and vision testing to elementary school students. Alert teachers and parents of students in need of additional testing. Account to the school district of accurate totals of tests administered to students.

I perform the duties of assisting sick or injured students, and dispensing medications in the absence of the school nurse. I am also trained in assisting diabetic students.

In small group and inclusion classroom settings, under the direction of the special and general education teachers, I assisted the special education students with meeting their academic and behavioral goals. As the Reading Paraprofessional I implemented lessons to improve students reading comprehension, writing, and phonics skills. Provide assistance to school administration in administering statewide testing and classroom coverage. Currently as the Math Paraprofessional I assist the grade level teachers with improving their students math instruction.

In the absence of elementary grade level teachers, I followed the student lesson and behavior plans as instructed by the teachers.

Assist students and adults with understanding their unique learning dispositions and modalities in order to recognize how they best learn, help identify future career paths, and design instructional materials.

The processing of referrals received from numerous DFCS County administration of a variety of clinical services needed for our clients (counseling, evaluations, etc.)
