After a 17 year career in investment banking and private equity, I had to officially retire early for health reasons (was on leave for nine months prior to retiring). It was a very hard decision for me and I miss my fellow team members and career so much. I still remain interested in the community banking industry specifically and broader financial services industry/overall economy generally. I had to “retire” early from my career I love because I got really sick and still seeing top specialists in world for a diagnosis. If I can’t give my 100-% to an organization, I will stay on the sidelines. I am still young. I hope one day I can return. It has been hard being on the sidelines but sometimes necessary to focus on health.
