Assigned to the Wounded Ill and Injured Directorate where I worked with military readiness and suicide prevention - collaborating with the DoD and Fleet Forces.

After completing two years of Duty Under Instruction, transferred to Okinawa, Japan where I managed an adult inpatient acute psychiatric ward.

Arrived in 2007, assigned as Command Emergency Manager and Department Head of Deployment Health/Physical Readiness Clinic prior to being assigned as Director of Clinical Support Services where I oversaw nutrition, physical therapy, laboratory, radiology, and pharmacy. During this time I re-wrote in its entirety the hospitals emergency management policy and oversaw the entire program and implementation of new readiness response protocols.

Managed outpatient psychiatric clinic. Helped to increase access to care and member of rapid psychiatric response team - responded to natural disasters in 2004 and 2005.

Multi-service nursing ward and then Family Practice - clinic nurse

Enlisted in the United States Navy after the unexpected death of my mother. Joined, undesignated fireman (E1) with first command being the USS YELLOWSTONE AD-41. Within a year of being onboard the USS YELLOWSTONE, I was given the opportunity to attend Electrical "A" school where I complete basic electronics in 1/2 the designated time and moved on to shipboard electrical training. After completing Electrical "A" school I reported onboard the dry dock, AFDM-7 SUSTAIN where I finished my enlisted contract working in the electrical shop before heading to nursing school.

Advanced Practice Psychiatric Nurse, provide clinical expertise and management to both inpatient psychiatric and traumatic brain wards.

Oversee and support the safe quality delivery of acute/chronic psychiatric nursing care and neurobehavioral health care of those admitted in psychiatric distress or suffering from neuro-brain injury and cognitive/brain behavioral impairment.
