2006-current: Developed, with continuing implementation of a regional elementary special education mentoring program for emotional and social development. The program is specific to Young Five/Grade 4 children. Student participation includes students having multiple diagnosis impacting social and emotional development. All participating students have current IEPs. The program continuum's focus is with children needing full-time intensive intervention and mentoring in maladaptive and/or underdeveloped emotional and social development. The regional program follows the LRE guidelines, encompassing student placement with ranging from full-time participation in a self-contained environment, gradually moving to full-integration back into the traditional general education setting. 2007-2008 : Instrumental in collaboratively heading up the development, staff training, and implementation of a building-wide behavior program focused on a whole-school safety plan, with the primary focus on mentoring students struggling with social and emotional success, on the playground or in social settings.2013-2014: Instrumental in providing immediate and situational classroom support, classroom management strategies, and mentoring to elementary level general education teachers. Conducive and practical for all learning environments. Direct contact and emotional support to at-risk students, young 5- Gr.4, situational to individual student(s) need. 2013-2015: Instrumental in heading up development, staff training, and implementation of a building-wide behavior program intentional for the state mandated whole-school safety plan, with the primary focus on mentoring students struggling in social and emotional settings on the playground or in classroom settings.
