Have responsibility for leading LAR’s long term energy initiatives with regards to potential project capital scope. Developing the energy balances including steam, power, natural gas, and refinery fuel gas to identify a sustainable long term energy plan and support it with economic justification.

Have responsibility for leading LAR’s near term greenhouse gas (GHG) compliance strategy as well as developing the long term strategy to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and the cost of purchasing emission credits. Facilitate a cross-functional team made up of key members from impacted groups to define these strategies, provide direction and set priorities and timelines, and identify opportunities and projects to pursue. Performed feasibility study in order to provide a cost estimate associated with gold extraction using a two stage refractory ore fluid bed system in Bakyrchik, Kazakhstan.

Refinery Front End Engineering Package development and Detailed Engineering for downstream units including Crude and Vacuum Unit, C3 Splitter, HF Alkylation, Diesel Hydrotreater. Tasks performed included simulation using PROII and Hysys, PFD and P&ID development, piping hydraulics, equipment sizing, control valve and relief valve sizing, and other discipline support.
