Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Parent Ambassador Program to include recruitment and training of parents and supporting them to achieve their advocacy goals. Cultivate opportunities for increased parent advocacy, work with legislators, provide testimony, participate in task forces and advisory groups, lending support to help parents find their voice.Coordinate leadership team meetings.Develop and implement training and bi-annual parent retreats.Conduct annual recruitment and selection of parents.Accompany parents to meetings and other legislative activities to provide support.Oversee budget and manage related grant reporting.

Provides supervision to in-home support program staff. The position supervises and provides accountability to staff, while encouraging professional growth and development. Additionally, this position provides program services when appropriate and when necessary. Provide coordination and oversight of all Child and Family Center direct services including in-home services and educational classes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:1. Supervise in-home direct service staff, and student interns assigned, including assisting with assignment of caseloads, staffing educational classes, hiring, orientation, and performance management according to organization’s policies and procedures and ongoing training and support. Provide regular supervision to all staff, which includes completing case review, performance evaluations, and service plan reviews as required by Performance Quality Improvement plan. 2. Provide program management services that include quality management, generate growth, and meeting established program goals for the Program. 3. Analyze program data and evaluations ensuring outcomes are being met.4. Assist with staffing an on-call referral and after-hours line to provide immediate support and intervention to clients. Assist staff working with clients to find and utilize community resources to access additional help and support. Promote the use of a wide range of approaches based on individual service planning. Coach staff to create and implement individual service plans with each client. 5. Collaborate with other agencies and services including school personnel, and other health care providers to ensure appropriate support for clients. 6. Collect statistics and implement all PQI procedures. 7. Facilitate a team atmosphere by working in partnership with other agency staff and promote a positive working environment.

The Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) credential identifies a specialist in lactation counseling. The CLC credential signifies that the holder has the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes to provide breastfeeding counseling and management support to families who are thinking about breastfeeding or who have questions or problems during the course of breastfeeding/lactation. CLCs are dedicated to the promotion, protection, and support of breastfeeding and human lactation in their work to prevent and solve breastfeeding problems. They understand that breastfeeding works best when it is the cultural norm and when the provider of lactation support and services is culturally competent. CLCs work within a counseling model, understanding that breastfeeding decisions are made by the mother, who may have values and goals different from the counselor. A counseling approach is used to elicit information and provide appropriate support to the mother and her family. The CLC works as part of the health care team, ensuring appropriate referrals and recommendations are made.

Provide weekly one on one visits in the home using the Growing Great Kids curriculum to educate and support parents regarding prenatal education (healthy pregnancy, child birth), breastfeeding, parent/child interactions, child development, safety, sexual health/family planning, and parent/child health. Engage in tasks necessary to the provision of direct service, including but not limited to: · utilizing the curriculum weekly to plan individual lessons for each family· paperwork and digital record keeping including documentation, assessments, monthly service plans/progress reports, aftercare plans, and discharge summaries completed in accordance with agency policy/procedure· driving to and from home-based appointments and occasional client transport· attending community meetings on behalf of families or the agency· researching and knowing community resources to refer families· responding to client referrals and/or emergencies in person within specified time frames Collaborate with other agencies, service providers, and informal supports including case managers, therapists, and relatives to advocate on behalf of clients. Participate in consultation supervision sessions as required. Collect statistics and implement CQI procedures as defined by program assignment.Preparing and delivering curriculum for classes.CQI Committee program representative as well as serve as a Community Task Force Member.FRS II also increases responsibility by taking on leadership roles within program team or agency assisting with outreach, enrollment, and FRS training(s).
