Since 1866 Winchester has continually manufactured innovative products designed to provide security to Americans and their families. In 1991 that mission was taken to a new frontier and Winchester Safes was born. Reliability and integrity are essential to Winchester. After a military-related move to California, I jumped at an unconventional opportunity to work on the studio side of marketing, assisting this high-end advertising photography studio with production and project management for some of the largest international brand clients, including LG Electronics, Timex Inc., Bud Light, Miller-Coors, Wonderful Pistachios, Jackson Hewitt and more. I learned the industry by managing and delivering pre- and post-production books for clients and vendors with detailed scheduling and budgeting. Memorable moment: I was asked to oversee all aspects of the photographer's personal photographic art project which focused on the unique lives of people from all over the United States who share a very common name -- James Smith. I spent weeks recruiting otherwise-reluctant subjects for the project via online and cold-call outreach to let us photograph them and give them a chance to share their unique identities. (Did you know most James Smiths struggle to book travel? The name is so common that it has landed on the Do Not Fly list.)

I enjoyed every minute spent wearing dozens of hats for this non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of downtown Fort Worth. For DFWI, I worked to strengthen brand cohesiveness through content strategy across communications channels. I tackled web presence management, notably establishing and increasing social media presence including YouTube, Facebook following of 50,000+ fans, Twitter and Pinterest. I got to play an integral part of various downtown public projects by developing digital campaigns, overseeing app development and providing PR support to initiatives. I also got to know downtown dwellers in my role as manager of the Downtown Neighborhood Alliance. Memorable moment: Managing the Over the Edge in Downtown Fort Worth fundraiser, requiring coordination of over 40 volunteers, 70 participants, a festival atmosphere and security and logistics control as we sent supporters rappelling down the side of the Pier One building. What a view!

This growing interior design and architecture firm needed help in finding better ways to tell the stories of their expansive impact on the Dallas skyline. I worked directly with the President & CEO to plan and implement internal and external communications programs to increase their visibility and brand authority in the commercial real estate and corporate branding industries. Through video production, social media, blog and email campaigns, I contributed to the sales team with marketing generated leads while increasing the company's earned media coverage considerably with targeted media pitches and press releases that gave readers insight into how some of the biggest brands in Texas use their working spaces. Memorable moment: Coordinating PR efforts (including guided tours, media training and a press conference) announcing the massive remodel and rebranding of iconic downtown Dallas property, The Crescent.
