Programme Manager for the cross council joint working and devolution programme in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

I supported Children, Families and Adult Services to plan and deliver major change projects in response to budgetary and improvement priorities. I specifically supported the implementation of "Keeping Families Together: Our Placements Strategy for Looked After Children". This is the long-term commissioning strategy for care placements but it is also focussed on reducing the number of children coming into care, by providing support for families before they reach the point of crisis. Key accountabilities:-project management support -close liaison with lead officers and partners to support the implementation of the strategy and manage any risks-research and analysis-keeping everyone involved informed through effective communications

As a Graduate Management Trainee I moved around the various Directorates in the Council in order to develop my skills and knowledge. I worked in Children's Services, Trading Standards, Transport Policy & Strategy, Organisational Development and Learning, Scrutiny and Improvement and most recently, Community Engagement. My assignments have been very varied, including researching and setting up a database, working on inter-agency projects, supporting a major Council review, supporting an Ofsted inspection and acting as Executive Assistant to a Director. Community Engagement Team: my most recent placement involved working on how the Council can implement central government's localism agenda. This has involved supporting eleven pilot projects in communities across the County.

I gained a placement on the Shell Step programme and managed a project to create and implement a customer survey for the Lincolnshire Registration Service, and then providing an analysis of the results in order to monitor performance and aid service planning. I produced and presented detailed reports on my findings which were well received. In addition I researched demographic changes in Lincolnshire to inform the Service Development Plan.
