I was responsible for successfully defining their first product in the heating category and adapting their dimmers to new markets. Involving early-stage concept development, design for manufacturing and testing of various mechanical constructs.As project lead, I coordinated and gathered feedback from different specialists to create a compelling design that would tick all boxes, especially a refined use experience for the installer and the final customer. I learned to work iteratively, constantly prototyping different levels of fidelity, but also how to set time and economic constraints in order to move forward when the project approaches industrialization.The job entailed the creation of compact, clean enclosures, making use of advanced cosmetic molding geometries, and custom-made electrical components. Working side by side with electrical engineers also provided me with crucial insights to understand how a PCBA is built, finding synergies with them instead of trade-offs.Other developed competences: design of injection molded parts, metal sheet, PCBA enclosure design, digital UX, compliance and sourcing.

Academic research project exploring ways to reduce domestic food waste. It equipped me with important methodologies to identify and map complex interactions spread across multiple actants.

Insightful experience learning the basics of mold layout design, a great development on my DFM skills for injection molding and metal casting.
