I have built a custom monitoring system for monitoring SQL Server performance while monitoring over three hundred SQL server instances.- More than 25 years experience in the Information Technology field. - Experience includes support on the following versions of SQL Server: 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008R2 2012 and 2014 including clustering, mirroring, vmware and data replication.- Vmware experience.- Support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by business systems.- SQL Server system management – setting up new databases, adding disk space to existing databases, re-building fragmented indexes- Install, configure, upgrade software and apply updates to maintain client environments- Setting up and managing automated backups- Setting up and managing scheduled database jobs- Performance tuning and database optimization- Monitoring of network, database, hardware, application and system performance- Expert problem diagnosis- Developing SQL and Transact SQL scripts- Back office Sharepoint Support.- Capacity planning- Provision of support and assistance to development team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications- Provisioning of database development and testing environments- Assist Quality Assurance, IT and Technical Support staff as required, to resolve both internal and external client issues.- Ability to work during non-business hours including weekends and holidays, as needed
