I care about the suffering of human beings and I believe that for most people, grief is at the heart of suffering. Suppressed grief and pain can be the source of many behaviors, sometimes even causing harm to one’s self or others. My goal is to create a safe and welcoming place for the men to share their grief journey and in so doing, receive support, feel less alone, and gain meaningful insight into themselves. Throughout the 16 weeks, we are growing a toolbox of techniques to heal our grief, grow self-compassion, and deepen empathy for others.
