Providing a broad array of discreet and professional human resources and legal consultations to businesses of all types, public and private, especially regarding benefits, legal compliance, and labor and employment issues. Also available as a mediator and arbitrator in alternative dispute resolution matters.

Serves as the chief personnel officer of the University and provides leadership and direction regarding personnel functions through the management of a comprehensive human resources administration including recruitment, on-boarding and employment services, benefits management and counseling, salary administration and job classification and evaluation, training and development, records management, departmental budgeting, labor and employee relations, and human resource information systems. The Director advises the university administration on personnel-related matters pertaining to faculty, administrative, professional and support staff.

Supervised Human Resources staff, including Affirmative Action Officer, responsible for comprehensive human resources functions including benefit management and consultation, training and development, contract administration for management and multiple union contracts, classification and compensation, discipline and grievance issues, recruitment and orientation, leadership development, ADA compliance and general consultation. Also assisted and participated in the design of system-wide leadership and employee development programs. Worked closely with University and University System office in employee relations issues and compliance program planning. Also, served as Chief Diversity Officer for the University.

First point of contact for University legal issues. Assisted System General Counsel in preparing cases for litigation and arbitration. Drafted and reviewed contracts for University. Administered management contract and faculty and administrative faculty union contracts including resolution of grievances and discipline issues arising from those contracts. Served on collective bargaining teams for management. Performed special projects for Student Affairs area and was University licensing director. Assisted in objective job evaluations and job description reviews throughout system. Participated in ADA compliance and administered immigration and naturalization compliance procedures for non-citizen faculty members. Served as financial aid and student dicipline appeals officer. Worked closely with faculty and administrative faculty union officers on employment issues.
