I am currently using Seahorse to support the close out of Kinto's NIH-funded clinical trials, following our sale to Rippl (see below).

Kinto was successfully acquired by Rippl in April 2024.Kinto is a technology- and AI-enabled coaching platform for families caring for older adults with dementia and other chronic conditions. In 2024, Kinto completed a 500-person clinical trial of our proprietary intervention, funded by the National Institutes of Health, demonstrating significant improvements in the behavioral symptoms of dementia patients, and reductions in caregiver burden and anxiety.Kinto was supported in its work through formal partnerships with the NIH, AARP, the Alzheimer’s Association, MITRE, MassVentures, and MassGeneral Brigham. Achievements include AARP Innovation at 50+ (2017 Finalist), Phase II NIH funding in 2018 ($2.2 Million), MassVentures START program participant (2020-2022: $800K in funding), MassChallenge HealthTech (2021 Finalist), winner of the Massachusetts COVID-19 Recovery Challenge (2022), Fast Track Clinical Trials Funding in 2022 ($2.8 million), first start-up approved for Open-AIs HIPAA infrastructure (2023), first clinical trial with MassGeneral Brigham (2023) and completion of large-scale, NIH-funded clinical trials in 2024.Kinto was developed and seed funded by Redstar Ventures.

Seahorse is a consulting business used to provide financial and business strategy services to a variety of start-ups, high-growth companies, and government agencies. During this period, Seahorse provided consulting services to Redstar Ventures, MA State Govt., Circles, Zmags, Gibson & Dehn, and various HNWIs.

Circles grew from a seed-stage start-up to become the largest concierge service provider in the world, employing more than 700 people across North America and Europe, and was acquired by Sodexo in 2007. Responsibilities as CFO of Circles included:> Financial Management of $70 million+ business> Operational Planning across North America (3 sites, 700 people)> Leadership of Circles Project Management Office> Data Analytics and Insight> Accounting, Tax & Risk Management> Corporate Development> Facilities

Responsible for coordinating a 35% RIF following the financial crises, the stabilization of company finances, and managing Circles’ return to profitable growth

Responsible for operational launch of our third North American contact-center, leadership of Project Management Office, company-wide annual budgeting process, pricing strategy for a 3-year, $150 million contract with our largest financial services client, and restructuring of company finances to achieve 15% net margin prior to sale to Sodexo

Development of repeat usage and customer satisfaction analyses. Key contributor to our customer satisfaction improvement strategies that led to the doubling of our net promoter scores (34% to 68%).

This role included operational responsibility for capacity planning of our growing contact centers, and the development of our productivity and customer satisfaction reporting frameworks

Promoted to implement new company level KPIs and to develop Circles’ capacity planning methodology.

Hired to implement new pricing frameworks and product-level profitability analyses.

Ernst&Young provided foundational training in accounting, tax, finance, business management and corporate law. During my tenure at E&Y, I completed all ACA requirements (CPA equivalent), and worked on numerous North Sea oil and gas acquisitions.
