The National Consumer Tribunal (NCT) is an independent adjudicative entity.The role of the Tribunal is to adjudicate on: Applications made in terms of the National Credit Act 34 of 2005 by consumers, credit providers, credit bureaux, debt counsellors and the National Credit Regulator including applications for interim relief and a review of the National Credit Regulator’s decisions, matters referred to by the National Credit Regulator or complaints related to allegations of prohibited conduct, and consent orders.The National Consumer Tribunal is an independent body, whose aim is to achieve fairness and justice for everyone in the consumer and credit market.The National Consumer Tribunal hears all sides of an argument before making a decision. A decision made by the National Consumer Tribunal has the same status as one made by the High Court of South Africa. Failure to comply with an order of the Tribunal carries a fine or imprisonment for up to ten years

The .za Domain Name Authority (.ZADNA) is a not-for-profit company that administrates the .za namespace..ZADNA is statutory regulator and manager of .ZA - the Internet country code top-level domain for South Africa. .ZADNA is mandated to:Administer, regulate and issue licenses in terms of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (2002).Comply with international best practice in administration and management of the .za namespace.License and regulate registries.License and regulate registrars for respective registries.

I provided strategic advice on a wide range of competition law matters, including Irish and EU merger control, and the competition law implications of commercial agreements and joint ventures and Irish FDI and EU FSR queries. I worked closely with clients to address complex issues such as pricing, refusal to supply, abuse of dominance, and anti-competitive agreements. I also supported our team and clients on restrictive practices investigations and dawn raids. I enjoyed mentoring our trainees and interns during their rotation with our competition team.

The Tribunal is a newly established body under the Companies Act. Its functions include:Adjudicating in relation to any application that may be made to it in terms of the Act; andServing as forum for the voluntary resolution of disputes.The Tribunal’s functions significantly include reviewing the administrative decisions and compliance notices of the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission.A decision by the Companies Tribunal with respect to a decision or order by the Commission is binding on the Commission, subject to any review by the court.

Kasturi Moodaliyar holds the position of the Associate Professor in Competition Law. Prior to her joining the Law School in February 2005 she worked as an enforcement and exemptions investigator and there after a merger analyst at the Competition Commission in Pretoria. Kasturi graduated from the University of Natal with a B.Proc.LLB and her LLM degree. She was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2000. Kasturi was awarded the Nelson Mandela Magdalene scholarship to read for her M.Phil degree in criminological research at Cambridge University in 2001. In 2004 she completed the Programme in Economics and Public Finance at Unisa. She is currently reading for her PhD in Competition Law. She is also the coordinating editor for the Butterworths Competition Law Reports and has been a guest editor on the South African Journal of Economics and Management Sciences. In 2008 Kasturi was awarded the Carnegie Sandwich Fellowship to conduct research on her PhD and she spent six months at Fordham University School of Law in New York as a visiting research fellow. The Complaints and Compliance Committee (CCC) is an independent committee of ICASA, established in terms of section 17A of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa Act No. 13 of 2000.The CCC is an Independent Tribunal of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa \'ICASA/ the Authority"), which is established in terms of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa Act No. 13 of 2000 \'ICASA Act'').The CCC is mandated in terms of section 17B of the ICASA Act, to investigate and hear, If appropriate and make a finding on all matters referred to it by ICASA, complaints received by it and allegations of non-compliance with the ICASA Act, Broadcasting Act No.4 of 1999, Postal Services Act No. 124 of 1998 and Electronic Communications Act No. 36 of 2005. The CCC Is mandated to adjudicate all complaints in the three sectors i.e. broadcasting, electronic communications and the postal services, which ICASA regulates.COMPLAINTS THAT ARE ADJUDICATED BY THE CCC• Broadcasting - relates to the transmission of programmes or information by radio or television by broadcasting service licensees such as SABC etc. e.g. complaints relating to election broadcasts and community radio stations.• Electronic communications - involves the exchange of information by voice, data and video transmission by electronic communications service licensees such as Vodacom, MTN, Cell C, Telkom etc. The nature of the complaints e.g. Billing and Data complaints.• Postal - relates to the sending, handling, and delivery of mail by reserved postal service licensee and unreserved postal service operators e.g.: South African Post Office etc. e.g. non-delivery and/or late delivery of mail and parcels.

The Film and Publications Board Appeal Tribunal and like all such tribunals offers a second opportunity for contested issues around classification to be considered. Decisions of examiners on classification matters can be taken on appeal to the Appeal Tribunal. This means that individuals, dissatisfied with the conclusions of examiners, can appeal to the Appeal Tribunal, be treated procedurally fairly and obtain a second reasoned decision. Administrative appeal tribunals in order to play this role must thus be independent, have expertise in the matter being adjudicated upon, make decisions expeditiously and be relatively inexpensive to access. If operated well, this system engenders confidence in the administrative process as individuals, even those not entirely satisfied with the outcome, emerge from the process with the perception that they were treated fairly and that the decision is reasonable.

The Competition Commission is a statutory body constituted in terms of the Competition Act, No 89 of 1998 by the Government of South Africa empowered to investigate, control and evaluate restrictive business practices, abuse of dominant positions and mergers in order to achieve equity and efficiency in the South African economy.Conduct investigations, relevant research and merger analysis under Chapter 3 of the Competition Act; prepare and present oral and written investigative reports; liaise with stakeholders; brief the legal unit of the Competition Commission on matters to be referred to the Competition Tribunal; and co-operate as a team member to achieve the objectives of the Mergers and Acquisitions Division and the Competition Commission.

Investigating anti-competitive practises in terms of Chapter 2 of the Competition Act, meeting with complainants and respondents, research into various economic theories in relation to market shares and power and competition law, drafting reports, recommending referrals or non-referrals to the Competition Tribunal.
