Hired in February 2018 by Meeting Management Associates, I had worked at the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (formerly the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners) since 1997 as a conference and meetings professional. I was hired by AANP based on my management experience of the biochemistry graduate school program at Baylor College of Medicine as well as my interpersonal skills with MDs, PhDs, medical and healthcare providers, students, peers and other business professionals. I also am very familiar with medical terminology. The CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) certification was awarded to me in 2002. AANP's national conference is the largest NP educational conference in the world.
