Managed the completion of Conceptual Design and the early Preliminary Design Phases of the Wide Field Optical Spectrometer (WFOS), the largest monolithic optical instrument for an astronomical telescope ever conceived.

• Worked on three space instruments: Laser Ablation Mass Analyzer (LASMA-L, for Roscosmos' Luna-25 and Luna-27 missions), Neutral Gas Mass Spectrometer (NGMS, for Roscosmos' Luna-27 mission), and Neutral and Ion Mass Spectrometer (NIM, for ESA's JUICE mission)• Managed three projects for the development of space instruments by teams of cross-functional engineers under challenging requirements of performance, mass and power budget, and schedule• Contributed to instrument development by performing detectors and materials radiation tests at high-energy particle facilities, leading to first-author IEEE publications

• Performed research on strategy and projects, taking inspiration from the pioneering work on Artificial Intelligence of Winograd and Flores to craft a vision on how a model-based approach may improve the initiation of projects

• Delivered weekly recitations on topics in system architecture, system engineering, and project management, ideating new original content for recitations and hands-on demonstrations with system modeling tools, including Design Structure Matrix, Network analysis, multi-physics modeling, system architecting with Object Process Methodology, and system dynamics• Mentored teams in spring semester's project work for external sponsors• Ideated, prototyped, and helped organizing the Design Challenge of the 2018 incoming students' cohort Bootcamp

• Negotiated procurement of chemicals, starting materials, packaging, and equipment with global suppliers• Drafted corporate template of supply agreement and negotiated it with key suppliers• Implemented optimized process for the management of materials' procurement specifications in Oracle EBS• Participated to trade fairs and site visits of suppliers of custom-synthesized chemicals in Europe and China

• Drafted and prosecuted new patent applications, provided patentability and freedom-to-operate assessments• Created tools for the tracking of expenditures and for cost forecasting of a portfolio of more than patents, in support of C-level decisions
