Metalaser developed, manufactured and marketed the "Vasculase" medical laser system for the treatment of skin disorders. The system utilises green (511nm) and yellow (578nm) laser emissions to treat vascular lesions such as port wine heamangiomas, strawberry naevi and facial capillary talangiectasia. Metalaser also developed laser systems for the scientific market. My role at Metalaser involved successfully establishing an international service network and quality control for manufacturing. This role includes the following: · Installation and commissioning of several lasers in Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. · Maintaining and servicing the medical lasers in Australia and overseas. · Establish a service department and training of personnel in Australia. · Training of overseas service personnel. · Establish quality control procedures, documentation and testing of medical and scientific lasers. · Assist in medical trials involving lasers. These trials included dermatology and treatment of HPV. · Writing of draft service manual for the medical and scientific lasers.

* My initial role at Metalaser was contributing to product development and the establishment of a * manufacturing team. * · Development of a production medical laser from a research prototype. * · Assembly and testing of the first ten lasers. * · Establish and manage a production team consisting of electronics technicians, mechanical * engineers, physicists, electrical fitters and purchasing personnel. * · Responsible for engineering drawings, production techniques and documentation.
