Responsible for the Company’s annual financial plan and overall corporate compliance and risk management approach. Responsible for leading Nova’s Finance, Accounting and Compliance departments and supporting the Company’s strategic and operational business objectives as they relate to finance and accounting, legal/tax/regulatory compliance, and risk management. Also responsible for the shared administrative services that partner with parent company including compliance, legal, facilities, and human resource management and presenting the Company's financial position and mission to the Board of Directors and executive team of the parent.

Integral member of Nova’s senior leadership team, responsible for developing the organization’s annual budget and business plan, preparation of financial reporting and presentations to executive leadership and Board of Directors of parent company, developing legal and state licensing strategy and maintaining organization-wide compliance, and leading and overseeing finance, accounting, legal, and compliance functions. Leadership experience includes developing key strategic priorities to translate into the company’s annual scorecard metrics, annual budget and short and long-term financial plans, monitoring the company’s financial results on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, providing financial modeling and analytical reports to senior leadership team, providing recommendations and effectuating solutions, overseeing, reviewing and approving all major capital expenditures and cash outlays of the business, leading participation in external financial and internal control (i.e., SOC) audits, and managing and leading Nova’s finance, accounting, tax, banking, billing, self-funded check-run/provider payments, payroll, compliance and regulatory functions.

Responsibilities included management of overall client engagements, including the supervision and development of senior and staff accountants, as well the review of audit workpapers and memoranda prepared by staff, and review and preparation of client financial statements. Also monitored and managed the firm’s risk management and quality function. Such duties include the development and maintenance of Firm’s Quality Control Document, preparation for external peer reviews and the performance of annual, internal quality reviews including in developing Accounting & Auditing Department policies concerning quality of audit documentation, audit efficiency, and risk assessments, as well as in developing and implementing information technology policies and procedures, and best practices.
