Currently involved in data analysis and scientific reporting of a previous expedition to Kanton island in Kiribati, a remote country in the central Pacific Ocean. The aims involve establishing an updated baseline survey of coral reef and fish communities, as well as developing an ecologically sustainable management plan for future developmet on the island. Other experiences so far have included reef restoration surveys in the Whitsunday islands and introduction to reef health and impact surveys (developed and used by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority).
