I worked at Costa whilst at university. I was responsible for making drinks to strict brand standards, maintaining a clean and orderly shop, whilst delivering exceptional customer service.

Leading IMTA's policy work on poultrymeat export market access, ports and shipping, and the UK's National Food Strategy. Representing IMTA at various government and industry forums and lobbying government to represent firms engaged in the international meat trade.

After completing an internship with Costa in 2016, I was fortunately invited back to work again with the Sustainability Team in 2017. As a Sustainability Intern I was given three principal tasks:- Research and source a method of taking contactless donations to the Costa Foundation - Assist in the delivery of Costa's largest ever mass-participation fundraiser, Twilight Walk, which raised over £6000- Oversee various fundraising activities during the annual Foundation FortnightWhile researching and sourcing a solution enabling contactless donations, I came up against numerous obstacles an had to change my approach and thinking around the task in order to ensure we found a suitable solution. I carried out in-store customer insight regarding contactless donations and wrote an analytical report detailing my findings.I also wrote various internal communications, and presented to various parts of the Costa business in order to raise awareness of the fundraisers above. A three week internship after completing my first year at university, during which I worked within Costa's CSR team, helping to fundraise for the Costa Foundation and plan future fundraising events. I was responsible for overseeing the organisation of a charity walk at Rutland Water to raise money for the Foundation, which was the closing event of "Foundation Fortnight" an annual fundraising drive within Costa; in 2016 over £2,000 was raised. I also worked closely with the award winning Communities Team, speaking to store managers up and down the country and producing both internal and external communications detailing the work Costa store teams do to help improve their local communities.
