Performance Related Pay scheme, undertook a project to overhaul the current departmental reward pay scheme, the suggested changes were met with enthusiasm across all levels and have resulted in additional cost savings of tens of thousands pounds on top of the former scheme’s savings. Responsible for managing and being main point of contact for 2 ‘tagging’ contracts with combined value of several hundreds thousands pounds for 2 major clients, since I took over the contracts the clients have renewed twice and we are under discussions on expanding the service to cover more markets and media. Intensely involved with the development of 3 applications, liaised with developers on a daily basis requesting additions of new features/functions, following up with pre-deployment testing on different test environments, giving the go ahead for deployment and providing post-deployment feedback.

Providing training for 8 new-starters exposed me to the effects and the importance of successful coaching. 2 of the people that I trained have moved on to take quality roles within our company and 3 more have become our designated application trainers within our department. Processed adverts on all media for several markets under several different deadlines and while working against both productivity and quality targets which I never failed to meet. Having to balance and effectively prioritise several work-streams and meet different targets “fine-tuned” my self-managing ability.

Managing a core team of 13 and an extended team of 32, processing thousands of Internet, Digital Video, Social Media, TV & Radio adverts on a daily basis with tight deadlines (SLAs) and under constant communication with our client services department.

* While overseeing work on construction sites I learned to read engineering drawings, in order to effectively discuss and monitor the project’s progress with contractors, engineers and technicians. * Collating the documentation for government tenders/contracts provided me with a deep understanding of the tendering process and accentuated my attention to detail.

* Submitted to the head of the department, ideas and revisions to the permit database that could effectively minimise at half the average search time of any given building permit for the city and county. Created a database for all the expropriation acts of the city. While reading through the archives of the expropriation acts, I was in a unique position to further my knowledge on the subject under the guidance and assistance of the head of the expropriations department.

Handled sensitive (confidential) information, so the nature of the job and the impact of my actions, helped me develop a high degree of stress tolerance and fast decision making skills. Successfully trained three privates to be able to perform well in their new positions, co-authored a guide book on the complex electronic systems through my experience, in order to make training faster and more concentrated.

* Communicated with the students on a daily basis, so I became acquainted with their concerns, needs and presented them to the executive board of the T.E.I. of Larissa. * Maintained the 3 computer laboratories of the department, through this position I developed my IT skills.
