iMentor builds mentoring relationships that empower first-generation students from low-income communities to graduate high school, succeed in college, and achieve their ambitions. Our work provides Bay Area high school students in Oakland and San Jose with additional opportunities to increase their knowledge, experiences, and resources required to succeed in college and pursue their highest post-secondary ambitions.As Senior Director of Program, I oversaw all of iMentor Bay Area's program initiatives, including our high school and post-secondary program model, our school and district partnerships, as well as the management of our school-based program manager team. As a leader in the organization, I am charged with collaborating with our local leadership team in supporting fundraising and volunteer efforts, as well as working closely with the national programming team and fellow regional leaders in Chicago and NYC on program implementation, design, and training.

● Manage direct report by clearly communicating goals and expectations while providing ongoing support to ensure that personal, programmatic, and organizational goals are met● Conduct weekly check-ins with direct report to guide effectiveness in curriculum facilitation and inform formal performance evaluations● Steward relationship with school partner and lead monthly meetings to review programmatic data to ensure program implementation● Spearhead regional communication strategies and co-facilitate monthly community of practice sessions amongst Program Managers● Advise and collaborate with Deputy Director on effective strategies for identifying and addressing training and development needs of Program Managers across sites while supervising the implementation of new initiatives to ensure effective, high-quality Bay program● Represent the Bay Area regional team at the National level as the Diversity and Equity Committee Liaison and the Team Fun Coordinator

● Establish and manage relationships with prospective corporate and community partners by leading 25+ information sessions over three months to support organizational growth.● Recruit 600+ professionals to mentor 400+ students in Oakland and San Jose by executing engaging trainings to ensure each volunteer is equipped with the sufficient support and tools necessary to support a high school student.● Facilitate high impact mentoring relationships between 115+ pairs while ensuring matches meet or exceed participation benchmarks through leveraging curriculum in weekly class sessions and overseeing logistics of two to three large scale (~250 people) monthly events.● Document high-quality, comprehensive, objective, notes on support provided to program participants to qualitatively track pair health while utilizing data analysis to effectively track pair relationship growth and develop targeted pair support, coaching, and engagement strategies.● Design reflective, impactful two-day retreat considering team reflections and survey data to inform best practices and future program year.

As a Screening and Authentic Assessment Specialist with the New York City Department of Education, Division of Early Childhood Education my current role is imperative in the rollout of the Pre-K for All initiative in New York City. Meeting with school administrators, program/education directors and teachers alike to provide on-site support with collecting screening and formative assessment data. My current role includes assisting with data collection and entry using a NYC DOE approved online authentic assessment system and to serve as a liaison with staff and the NYC DOE. Leading citywide professional development sessions, co-facilitating Leader and Teacher Summer Institute trainings, partnering with the Child and Family Policy Center at NYU and developing the DOE call center has allowed me to troubleshoot assessment practices with teachers and administrators while providing them with additional tools. Assisting NYC Pre-K for All sites with formative assessment and developmental screening support and creating research-based resources for administrators and teachers has been an integral part of my role. Additionally, analyzing data at the student- and school-levels allows me to help teachers use their data to drive instruction while examining program- and borough level data indicates implementation and illustrates support needs.

Research indicates that high achieving, low-income students frequently "under match" by attending less selective colleges than selective institutions that may be a better fit as a post-secondary plan. As a college match advisor with MDRC I was dedicated to serving the high achieving students of the senior class at my placement high school. I worked closely my cohort of 86 12th grade students as they navigated the college application process. I encouraged students to look into more selective colleges with reputable financial aid packages. I assisted students in their college search; provided students with knowledge of accessible and affordable schools that met their standards. I delivered workshops on financial aid, college essay writing, and basic information surrounding college. I worked closely with the guidance team at my high school and delivered professional development workshops surrounding college access to faculty and staff at Herbert H. Lehman High School.

As a college adviser with the College Advising Corps at NYU I worked closely with 9th through 12th grade students as they navigated the college application process. I assisted students in their college search; provided students with knowledge of accessible and affordable schools that fit their standards. I delivered workshops on financial aid, college essay writing, and basic information surrounding college. I coordinated field trips with faculty and staff at universities and supervise trips to local colleges. I served as a resource to students that sought to develop post-secondary plans: constructed resumes, and provided job opportunities and internships for qualifying students.

Assisted patients with their needs by providing blankets, food, beverages, and anything else. Served as a liaison between patients and their family members with medical staff. Created the Volunteer Handbook for NYU Langone Medical Center.

Travelled throughout NYC to advertise the upcoming opening of the Brooklyn Winery. Sold wine barrels and wine-making classes to interested customers. Discussed products with clients.

Provided test preparation and tutoring for 3-5 year olds seeking entrance into elite schools within the Tri-State area.

Organized daily activities; supervised play; and chaperoned field trips.

Assisted customers with orders and routines while maintaining excellent customer service. Created inviting window displays.
