The Secondary Principal serves as the educational leader, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe and pleasant learning environment that meets the approved curricula and mission of the school. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Secondary Principal work collaboratively to direct and nurture all members of the school staff hired by the Management and to communicate effectively with parents. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities to provide instructional leadership for the teachers and staff including scheduling, curriculum planning and development, review and implementation, extracurricular activities, professional development, personnel management, emergency procedures, and facility operations.The Secondary Principal will provide leadership and administration which will motivate instructional and support personnel to strive for superior performance so as to provide the best possible opportunities for student growth and development, both educationally and personally.The Secondary Principal reports directly to the Head of School and are responsible to implement of both international and national curriculums and instruction inititatives and recommends options to improve the instructional of school and the academic performance of students. The Secondary Principal supervises closely to the Homerooom teachers and Subject teachers to ensure that the SGIA curriculum and interactions meet the needs of all students in line with the mission, vision and values of the school.

Assists the principal in organizing and fostering a positive, safe environment that is conducive to best meeting the needs of all students, staff and parents. This includes such responsibilities as: leading, directing, counseling, and supervising a variety of personnel and programs; creating effective parent, teacher, and child communications; supporting, encouraging, mentoring, and evaluating staff; fostering teamwork between teachers and among staff and parents. Acts in the capacity of the principal during the principal’s absence from the school.

A Director of Studies (DoS) job, also known as Academic Manager or Head Teacher, in in charge of the teaching team of the center/s. The Director of Studies is responsible for ensuring the academic integrity of the center/s so that students receive the best possible program suitability for students. The following are the main responsibilities:• Deliver regular lessons and demonstration classes to the highest standards• Ensure effective scheduling of classes, extra-curricular activities and events• Arrange English language school inductions for new teachers; lead regular teacher training workshops• Assess academic staff’s performance and provide constructive feedback together with developmental plans• Work closely with the Center Director and other supervisors to ensure inter-departmental co-operation and effective communication• Update and consult the Regional Education Manager to guarantee smooth product implementation and overall academic operations• Assist Product Development in testing and implementing new EF products and courses
