Homemade Dietitian supports and coaches homemakers. I want to help any individuals, couples, etc. that strive to improve their health daily at home. I believe the way to change the world is through the actions taken inside the walls of a home.

Provo Canyon Behavioral Hospital is an 80-bed facility, serving the adolescent, adult, and senior mental health population. PCBH is located in Orem, Utah, and is a member of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS). Responsibilities include assessing the nutritional needs and diet restrictions of the patient, developing and implementing a dietary care plan, and providing nutritional counseling for patients.

• Contributed to patient care at Sunshine Terrace Skilled Nursing Center, Logan Regional Hospital, McKay-Dee Hospital, Primary Children’s Hospital, University of Utah Hospital, Fresenius Medical Care, and South Davis Community Hospital. • Instructed patients on medical nutrition therapies and integrated motivational interviewing skills during patient goal setting. • Educated the community while serving with Utah WIC Centers, USU Fueling Station, Community Support Agriculture Soup Kitchen, USU Center for Early Care and Education, Cache High Alternative High School, Cache Valley’s Gardner’s Market, and AmeriCorps. • Connected with people and empathized with their situations while educating through a variety of teaching methods. • Allied with food service management at Logan Regional Hospital, Edith Bowen Elementary School, Sunshine Terrace Skilled Nursing Center, Pioneer Valley Assisted Living Center, and Utah State Dining Services. • Collaborated to solve problems and think critically about food service production, food safety, and standardizing recipes.

• Assembled on average 75 resident meals, soups, salads, and desserts and provided therapeutic variations of each menu item. • Oversaw the recruitment, training, and scheduling of employees. • Performed weekly kitchen safety and food safety evaluations.
