* The tasks include: drives to the scene and performs patient assessment determining the nature and extent of the injury or illness; provides initial emergency care such as basic life support which may include airway management, ventilation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use of automatic defibrillator; pre-hospital care that may require controlling bleeding, treating shock, bandaging wounds and immobilizing broken bones; keep the dispatcher informed in case additional or special rescue is needed; determines the most suitable medical facility for the patient and transport the individual. * BASIC FUNCTION: * Under the supervision of the Paramedic, provides Basic Life Support Emergency transportation to preserve the life and health of patients. * Participates in the operation and maintenance of the Ambulance Services.
