Project facilitation and management for the implementation of Inviting Light, a two-year public art project lead by artist Derrick Adams, Central Baltimore Partnership, Neighborhood Design Center (NDC), and the Mayor’s Office of Art and Culture. The project was selected in late 2023 to receive $1 million in funding from Bloomberg Philanthropies through their Public Art Challenge, a program that brings people together to address important civic issues through public art. Inviting Light will encompass five temporary art installations in public spaces in the Station North Arts District and a year of engaging art activations in and around these sites in 2025.

Served as curator and program director for SPARK, the grant-funded, collaborative arts programming presented by UMBC and Towson University. This encompasses planning an expansive group exhibition and a related series of workshops, video screenings, and performances on an annual basis. In addition to curation, this includes managing all aspects of executing the programming, budget management, staffing, and coordination with programming partners on promotions. To date this includes curating and directing SPARK III at the Columbus Center in November 2019 during the Brilliant Baltimore festival; SPARK: A New World? at Maryland Art Place in 2021; and SPARK: New Light in 2022, and SPARK: Refractions at The Peale in 2023 (all venues are in Baltimore City, Maryland.) Responsibilities included overseeing the collections/registration processes and tasks for the Tahir Hemphill: Rap Research Lab exhibition as well as planning, executing, and overseeing a major on-site professional packing and crating project for the upcoming traveling exhibition Annet Couwenberg: Sewing Circles; executing contracts and coordinating insurance coverage and certifications; managing the educational outreach program’s Spring 2023 school visits to the gallery; and event planning for gallery public events. This was a short-term contract position to support the CADVC due to leave of absence of full-time staff.

Proposed, planned, executed, and managed the group exhibition Memento mori and related performances at The Parlor in the Station North Arts District in Baltimore City. This exhibition and the related performance events, tour, and basement speakeasy marked a transition in the life of the building, from funeral home to a space for creativity and artists. Also provided written and visual content for Station North to use as basis to promote this programming handmade media appearances to promote this exhibition. Projects in 2023 include producing the Live After Death comedy event at The Parlor and The Blinkatorium during Artscape 2023, featuring work by artist Scott Pennington and performances by Fluid Movement.

Provided highly versatile marketing and communications services: The thru-line of my time with OIA was promoting arts and culture events (over 150 annually) and the achievements of students, faculty, and alumni in the arts through stories for UMBC News and UMBC Magazine, press releases, media pitches, social media posts, websites listings, and facilitation of Creative Services projects for Dance, Music, Theatre and Visual Arts departments.During my tenure and especially through the pandemic I also aided other campus partners to develop creative and strategic marketing campaigns with print, web, and video components and quite often worked directly with senior staff. Projects included content development for a redesigned and expanded website, email marketing journeys (via Salesforce), and responsive digital advertising for Undergraduate Admissions. Other projects included developing the content and project managing the design and production of the first-ever viewbook for UMBC’s International and Graduate School recruitment efforts, planning UMBC's first-ever booth presence and sponsorship advertising at the 2019 NAFSA conference in Washington D.C., and development of a promotions campaign with web, broadcast television, and digital ad components for the Office of Research.

Developed and managed over 40 (11-12 annually) visual art exhibitions and related programming for the Winchester Cultural Center Gallery and the Clark County Government Center Rotunda Gallery. Duties included preparing calls for entry; screening, selecting and scheduling artists for solo, two-person and group exhibitions; providing graphic design of materials for postcards, posters, banners and images for website; writing press releases and insuring that PR reached targeted local writers; participating in interviews with local print and television media; documenting exhibitions and writing email blasts and social networking posts in support of exhibition programming. In 2009, additional duties included development of RFPs for The Bus Stops Here public art project and the Clark County Centennial Mural project and the development and organization of the screening and selection processes for these projects.

Duties included development and management of all visual art exhibition programming for the Charleston Heights Arts Center Gallery, the Reed Whipple Cultural Center Gallery, and the City Hall Bridge Gallery; maintaining fiscal year budgets and budget projections; and event and facilities management related to the gallery programming. I also initially worked with the City of Las Vegas Arts Commission as the Public Art Coordinator before the gallery position became available, serving as project manager for the Pioneer Trail interpretive historic markers project and on Haluk Akakce’s Sky is the Limit public art project for the Fremont Street video canopy developed in partnership with Creative Time as well as the preparation of related reports for the arts commission.

Producer at TIME.com, the website for TIME Magazine. Primary responsibility was building and launching interactive versions of the print magazine's weekly cover package content online and building and publishing an online newsletter for subscribers. Over the nearly two and a half years I was the “weekend producer,” my team grew to include a graphic designer, an interactive designer/coder, a photo editor and a writer. Though we worked as a team, as the producer I supervised the processes and was the primary liaison with magazine staff for all content and the person who published our packages to the live site. I was solely responsible for meeting publishing deadlines and working with public relations staff to publicize our content as quickly as possible.
