I co-founded upOwa, the leading distributor of solar home systems in Cameroon. As an impact driven company, upOwa’s mission is to bring electricity to all with renewable and affordable energy.upOwa now employs more than 300 people across the country and has brought electricity to more than 150 000 cameroonians.The company was successfully acquired by EDF in 2024.

Analyst for the Getting electricity indicator of the Doing Business report• Build and maintain the Getting Electricity set of indicators for the Doing Business report (a World Bank flagship report) through contacts with utilities, regulatory agencies and private electrical contractors to identify bottlenecks and good practices in electricity access in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and OECD countries.• Participate in a subnational study of the business environment in South Africa.• Deal with government delegations to present and discuss the Getting electricity results. Organized a workshop in Mexico with the government, electricity utility and private electrical contractors. • Co-wrote a case study on electricity connection costs and electricity access in World Bank publication.• Traveled on mission to Congo DRC, Mexico, Malta, Uganda, South Sudan and Belize to assess bottlenecks in electricity access.

• Monitored and analyzed US energy policies in the field of industrial development, political environment, research initiatives and legal issues for recommendations to French government and companies• Acted as an interface between French and US agents
