Currently serve as the senior advisor to the president responsible for the overall project management of the $151 million proposed Duquesne College of Medicine. Duties include leading the Phase One fundraising, marketing, and project management for the startup of the new medical school.

Served as a member of president’s cabinet. Responsible for the university's external relations that included Community Relations, Alumni Relations, and Advancement. Selected Accomplishments:• Raised over $34 million in new major gifts including scholarships, capital investment, academic programs, and athletics.• Increased the Annual Fund by 62% over a five-year period. • Secured the largest private gift in university history: $4 million. • Developed Mercyhurst’s economic development project, the Erie Innovation District, and secured the grant for initial seed funding: $4 million.• Launched, the MCPC Cyber Security Center, with Cleveland-based technology provider and corporate partner, MCPC: $2 million • Envisioned and funded, in tandem with the Provost, the nation’s first cybersecurity-focused Risk Management program with Fortune 500 property/casualty insurer, Erie Insurance: $1.25 million.• Created the PricewaterhouseCoopers Cyber Autism Pilot Program that recruits and trains individuals on the autism spectrum for careers in cybersecurity.

Charged with leading the organization’s transformational expansion into an urban historical campus and one of the largest history museums in Pennsylvania. Selected Accomplishments:• Developed and launched the most ambitious capital project in the organization’s 116-year history, creating the “Thomas B. Hagen History Campus”. • Raised $4.5 million in capital campaign support without campaign counsel, surpassing the previous campaign effort by over 600%.• Reversed the organization’s ten-year operating deficit by creating three years of budget surpluses. • Reimagined the organization’s development program, resulting in a 300% increase in year-over-year annual giving. • Cultivated over two dozen new lead donors ($1,000+) in the first year of my tenure that did not have prior giving history with the organization.• Developed a new signature fundraising event that sold out in its first year.• Initiated a comprehensive rebranding of the organization.

Led the organization’s transformation from a 100% state supported museum to an organization responsible for over 65% of its operating income. Reported directly to the board of directors. Selected Accomplishments:• Developed the organization’s signature fundraiser, a unique multi-venue waterfront event and fireworks celebration that serves as one of the city’s highest grossing fundraising events. • Created and cultivated over twenty-four leadership donors for annual giving purposes.• Forged earned income academic partnerships with Allegheny College and Mercyhurst University. • Secured Gannon University for a unique undergraduate enrollment partnership.

Built niche revenue-producing academic programs for universities and maritime museums throughout North America.Selected Accomplishments:• Created, launched, and managed multiple for-credit higher education programs, including the global program for Nova Scotia based-Acadia University and the Great Lakes program for Niagara University.• Awarded the International Sail Trainer of the Year Award in 2008 for promoting innovation and creativity within the global sail training industry.

Managed and led all aspects of the ship-based 40 student floating prep school, reporting directly to the land-based principal. Selected Accomplishments:• Led and managed a teaching staff of eleven credentialed Canadian teachers.• Selected as the youngest Shipboard Director in the school’s history from a highly competitive international pool of candidates.• Organized port programs in over nineteen countries, including a week-long humanitarian project in Dakar, Senegal.
