A New View provides a broad spectrum of counseling services to adults and adolescents. Our therapists have experience addressing anxiety and depression, self esteem and identity issues, self-discovery, trauma and PTSD, emotional/behavioral problems, grief and loss, family transitions, and family conflict and communication issues. We also specialize in addressing issues brought about by autism and provide autism diagnosis testing.

A private practice agency that focuses on providing families in conflict with a variety of services, including custody evaluations, for the courts or otherwise, work with blended families, and mental health counseling. We also prepare homes studies for domestic adoption, host homes, and professional parent homes. In addition we offer counseling and psycho-education for issues related to blended families. All of our work is designed to help parents be at their best, and ensure that the needs of children are of primary importance.COUNSELING

The Domestic Violence Program supports domestic violence programs that provideemergency shelter, housing, and/or support services to victims of domestic violence andtheir dependent children. Fourteen of the 16 programs are managed by privatenonprofit agencies. DCFS manages two shelter programs in rural areas and overseesdomestic violence support services provided to victims seeking services from thoseshelters. DCFS allocates funds through individual contracts to 13 of the 14 nonprofitdomestic violence shelters. State funds supplement income generated by shelters, whichsponsor local fundraising events and receive funding from local, state, and federalgranting agencies.The Domestic Violence Program also supports the 24-hour domestic violence hotline(LINKline) information and referral service provided by the Utah Domestic ViolenceCouncil (UDVC), which contracts with DCFS to provide that service. Serves as DCFS Civil Rights Officer.For the Adoption Program I facilitate requests for supplemental post-adoption funding for adopted children with critical needs to stabilize them and their families.

Administration of the Utah Medicaid Autism Waiver, and the Community Supports Waiver. The Autism Waiver provides Applied Behavior Analysis treatment and respite services to more than 300 children between the ages of two and six living in the state of Utah. The Community Supports Waiver provides a wide variety of supports for almost 4,700 people of all ages who have intellectual disabilities or related conditions..

Pathway Family Services is a private Foster Family Agency that specializes in providing advanced treatment and care to children and youth living in Kern County's foster care system.

Directed the CPS Investigations Division for Kern County, overseeing 110 employees whose job it is to investigate reports of child maltreatment, provide assistance and support to families in need, and ensure the safety and well being of Kern County's children. Oversight included Domestic Violence caseloads, 24/7 hotline, investigations staff, fair hearing responses.

Weekend Medical Social Worker, providing crisis counseling and emotional support to patients and families experiencing medical crises. Psychosocial assessment and referral to appropriate helping agencies was part of daily responsibilities.

Director of public child welfare adoption agency completing 350 to 400 adoptions annually.
