Fourteen of the 16 programs are managed by privatenonprofit agencies. DCFS manages two shelter programs in rural areas and overseesdomestic violence support services provided to victims seeking services from thoseshelters. DCFS allocates funds through individual contracts to 13 of the 14 nonprofitdomestic violence shelters. State funds supplement income generated by shelters, whichsponsor local fundraising events and receive funding from local, state, and federalgranting agencies.The Domestic Violence Program also supports the 24-hour domestic violence hotline(LINKline) information and referral service provided by the Utah Domestic ViolenceCouncil (UDVC), which contracts with DCFS to provide that service. Serves as DCFS Civil Rights Officer.For the Adoption Program I facilitate requests for supplemental post-adoption funding for adopted children with critical needs to stabilize them and their families.
