The newly formed Cirion Technologies is a result of Stonepeak’s and AustralianSuper’s $2.7B acquisition of LUMEN Technologies Latin America, a multi-billion dollar enterprise/wholesale business with material international assets (32,000 km terrestrial fibre, 37,000 km subsea fibre, 16 landing stations, 18 data centers, 13 satellite hubs, and five subsea systems) operating in 20 countries across Central and South America. Mr. Fitzpatrick joined the newly formed board of Global Cloud Xchange (GCX) immediately following the company’s emergence from bankruptcy, providing business counsel to the Chairman and the GCX executive team. Mr. Fitzpatrick played a critical role in advising the management team in the development of a new commercial and operating strategy to become the carrier of choice to the global carrier and hyperscale markets. Mr. Fitzpatrick continued to work with the executive team, using his relationships in the industry to reposition GCX’s brand and product portfolio. Mr. Fitzpatrick was one of two non-executive directors hired by Elliott Management and RevCap, the principal investors in Ark Data Centres, for his technical infrastructure expertise and global telecommunications and IT industry network. With his understanding of Ark’s data center requirements combined with his industry contacts, Mr. Fitzpatrick initiated new business partnerships with most of the global hyperscale providers, as well as key national and international infrastructure providers.
