* Estimator & Project Manger for carpentry company based in New York City. The company specialized in residential and commercial projects from high-end residential remodels to all large commercial fit-outs. Responsibilities included; * Provide detailed take-offs and prepare bid proposals. * Liaise with vendors for materials & specialty products. * Prepare submittals, shop drawings, RFI's, change orders etc. * Coordinate with Project Mangers, estimators and supers to oversee current projects. * Attend walk throughs and site meetings to discuss progress and any issues on-site. * Keep track of production, materials and workforce on each project.

* I am currently employed as a site engineer for Lorclon Ltd who are a civil engineering company based in London. We are employed as a subcontractor on the £6.5bn London Bridge Station redevelopment project and are in charge of all of the block paving, drainage, tactile’s, copers, movement joints and inspection covers on the platforms. As site engineer some of my responsibilities include; * Checking and preparing site reports, allocation sheets, designs and drawings * Establish, promote and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental policies * Setting out the works in accordance with the drawings and specification using the total station (Leica TS06 Plus) * Supervising and managing the construction works being carried out * Liaising with the employer’s representatives, suppliers, subcontractors and other professional staff on technical issues and any other matters * Ordering and negotiating the price of materials

* Over the course of this period of time I worked for the family business for the majority of summers, holidays and weekends when I was off from school and college. Some of my duties consisted of: * Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, * appliances, apparatus and fixtures. * Test electrical systems, circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures * Flow blueprints or drawings to determine the location or wiring and equipment. * Using test equipment and handheld tools to diagnose, locate, install and fix * electrical fixtures and problems. * Maintaining and repairing all electrical equipment. * Working on ladders, scaffolds, attics and roofs in a number of houses, schools, retail * units, offices etc. * General housekeeping tasks on site.
