Karachaganak Gas field development projects- Process Lead for Concept, FEED and Detail Engineering for various brownfield projects for Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V.

As part of a team of engineers, involved in Concept study and Licensor selection for various plants of a large petrochemical complex within ADNOC. The complex consists of Ammonia, Methanol, Chlorine, EDC/VCM, PVC, Maleic Anhydride and Iso Propyl Alcohol and Offsites & Utilities. The project is expected to be commissioned in 2025.

Principal Process Engineer - Worked in various oil sands project, eg, Husky Tucker, Suncor Firebag. Since August 2009 to August 2011, worked as a lead process engineer in a 2 billion USD heavy oil project for PDO,Oman. The project included FEED, DD and procurement. The FEED involved simulation, H&MB and sizing of major equipment. The plant includes 2-phase separation, production fluid cooling and export, gas cooling and recovery, Steam generation facility, water treatment facility, Fuel gas letdown and handling and utilities. It also includes dynamic simulation in OLGA for flow assurance purposes. The DD mainly involved making appropriate data sheet for procurement, Hazop, IPF and vendor drawing / document review. Worked in DD phase of Kearl Oil Sands project in the froth treatment unit. The DD phase of the project had detailed sizing of equipment, lines, flare, relief and blowdown, utility sizing, etc.

Worked in Sulphuric Acid Plant Basic Package Development, Ammonia plant DD, Natural Gas treatment and handling, Fertilizer plants (Urea, DAP and NPK).

Worked on Jamnagar expansion of Reliance refinery. Work included detailed design activities, like, hydraulics, line sizing, process datasheet of equipment and instruments, Hazop study, etc. Worked in Naftatrans project of Krasnoder refinery. Involved in relief calculation, flare system sizing, etc.

Gas Processing facility for EnCana: Working on the design and engineering of the gas processing facility involving a slug catcher, Liquid-Liquid Separator, Stabilization unit, sales gas compression, Amine package and Refrigeration unit. Performed a relief and blowdown study and flare network in FlareNet for this gas processing facility to ensure the adequacy of the flare header and lateral sizing. Reviewed datasheets and Vendor documents on slug catcher, Acid Gas Compressor, etc.
