• 32 years of credit union experience with 14+ years of Executive Level Leadership as Vice President of Lending. Directly responsible for planning, directing, and administering activities of the loan department while assuming direct accountability for overseeing the origination, processing, closing, and servicing of commercial, mortgage, and consumer loans as well as VISA accounts. Responsible for maintaining credit quality and asset protection while enhancing strategies that foster steady loan growth. As well, I coordinate the operations of the loan department with other departments of the credit union to achieve credit union sales, service, and growth goals. Achieved 198% growth in our lending portfolio from $69 million to over $136 million in a 14 year period. Grew non-interest income extensively by creating a new GAP insurance, automobile warranty, and credit life and disability program. Developed strategy and a plan to grow our network of indirect dealers from 4 to 39 in just 6 years. The indirect lending channel now provides 55% of all new loan growth on an annual basis. • Other functions include ongoing development and revision of existing loan programs to ensure competitiveness within market, managing the collections department to minimize charge-offs and operate within established levels of loan delinquency, oversee lending regulations compliance, and ensure all documents procedures and policies comply with board policy and Credit Union regulations by working with local, state, and federal examiners. • I lead, manage, and develop both direct and indirect staff through ongoing coaching of both teams and individuals. I also assist, develop, and oversee all staff training and development as it pertains to lending so that staff can confidently work with our lending products and achieve sales growth.

• Personal human resources consultant for up to 15 managers and their respective teams, including bank President/COO, VP of Technology, SVP of Operations & Sales, VP of Member Services, VP of Business Services, Lending Admin. Mgr., Director of Technology, Mgr. of Mortgage Sales; and various support departments. In this capacity, I consulted heavily in areas of human resources, leadership development, team development; conflict resolution, performance improvement, personal and team coaching, recruitment, retention, and succession planning. I have excellent coaching and counseling skills to work with all staff at all levels. • Directly responsible as a co-sponsor in developing Think’s 5 year strategy for Sales Proficiency; Organizational Development (both employee and customer engagement processes). Worked extensively with measurement processes for employee satisfaction and helped teams develop action plans for improvement, engagement, and team effectiveness. • As a co-project manager, I was extensively involved in designing, developing, and implementing an entire commercial business line curriculum for all front line and support staff when Think introduced its business line of commercial banking products. This was a major corporate initiative in which I participated in 9 taskforce teams in the areas of vendor selection, lending platform integration, customer identification enhancements, product and systems training, customer engagement and compliance. • In 2006, Think converted from a credit union to a mutual savings bank. During our conversion, I was directly responsible for developing training for all frontline and support staff (over 320 employees). Areas included: account opening procedures, compliance, customer service, lending, and core system changes.

While working fulltime in banking, I was also a volunteer Minnesota state certified First Responder and I served the community of Byron for 8 years. As President of the organization, I led the community’s first response efforts for all medical and trauma related emergencies. In this capacity, I managed a team of up to 15 volunteers and actively recruited new members. In this role, I was directly responsible for overseeing our team’s ability to provide direct emergency medical care, training initiatives, expense budgets, capital improvement funds, and equipment/supplies purchasing. As President, I worked closely as a liaison with the City of Byron, both Salem and Kalmar townships, and the Southern Minnesota Emergency Medical Services consortium. I have provided hands on medical care in over 600 medical/trauma emergencies.

• Effectively assessed, designed, developed, and implemented a complete Manager Orientation Program for all new leadership within organization. Program designed to effectively orient all new leadership to Think with focus on culture, on-the-job procedures, policies, recruitment, performance reviews, and termination practices. • Led the integration of a corporate-wide sales training program for Think. Actively facilitated all sales core skills, product referral, and all Sales Leadership classes. Effectively worked with all branch managers to ensure positive staff transition to a focused sales and service culture. • Led the implementation of Wilson Learning Incorporated’s Social Styles program. Reviewed and modified course curriculum, achieved leader certification, and developed timeline for organizational introduction to over 300 staff. Powerfully facilitated this highly experiential program that is designed to create personal awareness of individual social style and its impact. Effectively taught teams to flex individual styles to maximize interpersonal relationships.

• Personal banker with excellent customer service skills. Highly interpersonal and professional, I worked with our customers to understand their financial goals and needs. Through active listening and engaging my customers, I was able to fit the right financial products to their needs.

• Received KEY CONTRIBUTOR award in 1995 for dedication to continuous improvement and an extensive record of excellent collection and recovery. Consistently achieved low loss ratio that helped Think achieve national recognition. Based on the nature of the work and by treating customers as people with dignity, I was able to achieve all goals and maintain customer loyalty.
