Created 3D models and drawings for cables used in a robotic arm.

Created mechanical & assembly drawings for Rackmount High Voltage Power Supply Controller. Created 3D solid models of components and cable harness assemblies.

Created Spinal Kit Tolerance Study. Initial fixture concept design for ultrasonic welding of plastic cylinders populated with filters for portable kidney dailysis (Contract position).

Designed and documented new FieldLab products for the Military. Work involves 3D modeling of parts, assemblies and drawings. FieldLab products are made up of machined metal and plastic parts, sheet metal parts, gaskets, printed circuit boards, components and cabling.

I worked within the DCI Engineering Organization on several products where I designed, documented and implemented products into manufacturing. Products varied in scope depending upon the customer, from prototype low volume to production. In each case, documentation is released and maintained. DCI Engineering was absorbed into the parent company Columbia Tech in 2014.

Created Mechanical & Assembly drawings, created 3D solid models for Kerastick Reliability Test fixture and 4” Swivel Caster Upgrade Kit for BLU-U Unit. Updated documentation adding second and third sources for components used in cable harnesses.

I worked within the Vision Systems Group to address & resolve manufacturing process/product issues. I developed manufacturing tools for product assembly. I created drawings, bill-of-materials (BOM’s), process sheets, manuals, product labeling & product packaging for Camera Head and Camera Control Unit enclosures.

Developed & implemented the MailDefender product into volume manufacturing. Created/Maintained over 200 product drawings. Created & Maintained CAD Library & Drawing Vault.

Currently designing a 1U Half-Rack enclosure which houses a third-party power supply, battery pack with plastic bezel and board(s). Design considerations include system interconnect and cable management. Currently furloughed.

Working on mechanical parts (sheet metal), assemblies, weldments and top level assembly in SolidWorks.

Major redesign of technical office product that is currently over cost. Creating 3D solid models, mechanical, assembly and weldment drawings. Building of prototypes and other engineering related activities. Engineering evaluation testing of prototypes. Other activities include designing IT Cabinets and major sub-assemblies for IT Cabinets.

Created and maintained 3D part and assembly models, designing and documenting hand-held gun that detects lead. Technical work involves creating all product assemblies made up of housing, machined metal parts, printed circuit boards, flex circuits and system interconnect. Responsibilities include documenting LPA1-C and LPA Mach II products from the nuts and bolts up to top level assembly. Design considerations involve Design For Manufacturability (DFM) for sheet metal, machined, and plastic parts. Working closely with Electrical Engineer designing printed circuit boards , cable assemblies and flex circuit assemblies.

Created and maintained assemblies for XL5 Hand-held product. Created test and assembly fixtures for motor mount mechatronics. Created and updated label part models and drawings. Created and maintained BOM’s in Agile MRP System. Developed good manufacturing practices through design considerations for Design For Manufacturability (DFM) and Design For Assembly (DFA).
