Assessed new applications and existing accounts to determine whether fraudulent. Liaised with Police as well as other financial institutes and lenders on the CIFAS register in order to alert them of supposed threats and to build a case with which to complete a full investigation which could then be uploaded onto the FIND database and the internal suspect fraud database. Also utilised credit reference agencies such as Experian, the Land Registry database, the National Hunter database, HALO and other useful tools such as Companies House, Armadillo and even directory enquiries if it would build a case for suspected/confirmed fraud. working under strict guidelines set out by CIFAS. Analysed and monitored returned mail and maintained fraud and trace databases. Would also ensure that CACS work lists were monitored on a daily basis to meet client service levels.

Evaluated financial applications for personal lending using Northern Rock lending criteria, manually assessing credit score on the basis of an applicants' credit file using Equifax or Experian database information. Required networking cross functionally with telesales and branches across the country where requesting documentation for proof of income and residency. Accredited to process maximum lending amounts available for unsecured personal loans of up to £25k

 Maintaining the construction and efficiency of the Asda wage model across all stores in the chain in proportion to Retail Finance budget constraints. Specifically Ecommerce.  Analysis and implementation of cost savings across the wage model based on Asda’s ‘We operate for less’ business model. Working in conjunction with Industrial Engineering to measure and build processes into Standard Minute Values. Implementation of measurements and tasks into roles in store.  Setting up new processes and best practice for new store builds, reshaped and improved the critical path, establishing stronger ties with key stakeholders to produce and land new store builds correctly in the first instance.  As a relatively new member of the team, effectively landed business plan within expected timeliness without issue for the first time in ten years.

 Planning stock levels for fast moving fresh goods to the value of approximately £7.5 million per week, successfully maintaining a 1.2% margin for waste and 96% inventory target for 600 stores and 10 chilled depots across the Asda network.  Responsibility for managing the supply chain for the largest area in the Core Chilled with approximately 160,000 item store combinations.  Liaising with Trading, Process, Merchandising & Distribution as well as depots and stores to improve communication links and performance.  Supervising a portfolio of over 30 suppliers. Introducing over 300 brand new products into Asda stores successfully. Organised supplier conferences and held suppliers to account to imposed targets, and negotiating with those suppliers in order to resolve any supply issues.  Recognised for performance ‘above and beyond the call of duty’ twice by a group of over 200 of my peers.
