The Service Council of The Association of Pool and Spa Professionals is a group of pool and spa pros dedicated to the service end of the business. Members of the Service Council include representatives from manufacturing, distribution, as well as independent pool and spa supply and service retailers. The Service Council developed the first ever training and certification programs for up and coming pool service techs. " Basic Pool and Spa Technology" Was the first manual created and complimented the Tech 1, Tech 2 and Certified Training programs sponsored by APSP. The second manual, The Hot Tub Technicians Manual and corresponding certification program was created for technicians who planned to focus their skill in the hot tub realm only. I was privileged to be responsible for writing and editing chapters for both manuals.
