Utilized Memory Lab to digitize A/V materials Responsible for creating a customer survey

* Cataloged artifacts, digitized audio recordings and edited a video package in preparation for a pop-up archival exhibit for the VOA 75th Anniversary celebration. * Contributed to planning and took lead on photographing over 100 artifacts for cataloging in Canon software. * Contributed the idea of exhibiting listener mail, which became an integral part of the exhibit. * Digitized 40 BetaCam SP and VHS videotapes, audiocassette tapes, 15 inch LPs (used for broadcasting)and reel-to-reel ingested into Dalet Plus and entered descriptive metadata into the related Asset Manager Form. * Trained with a producer to create daily 60-second video segments, ‘VOA 60’ using Dalet newsroom CMS and Final Cut Pro by editing news footage and scripts. Exported multiple files using a codec system to convert from Quicktime to MPEG4 video format. * Trained in sound archiving and preservation. Edited sound with Audacity. * Cataloged materials from VOAs history as well as personal artifacts and manuscripts from VOA journalists and other personalities.

* Completed digital inventory for the UMD collection on labor history, 1930-present. * Wrote abstracts and blog posts for university collections. * Researched reference requests.

* ● Arranged and rehoused segments of the Moses and Frances Asch Collection. * ● Performed data entry for the Ralph Rinzler Collection. * ● Catalogued photographs of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival.

* ● Processed 1600+ archival materials before cataloging with Luminarc, the proprietary software of The History Factory. * ● Digitized parts of the collection including 19th century manuscripts and photographs. * ● Converted textbook scans to PDF and compiled them into electronic multi-page documents. * ● Trained co-workers on software. Created training manuals for searching and cataloguing.

* Digitized a range of archival materials based on patron requests before cataloging with Fedora. * Created archival record for materials including books, oversize pieces, photographs, slides, film, artifacts, and audio CDs.

Uses Adobe Premiere, VLC, QuickTime, Smartsheet, CaptionMaker and Discovery's proprietary software to perform quality control on a variety of Discovery shows by updating content metadata. Delivers to video-on-demand platforms such as Amazon, Fandango and iTunes as well as Discovery’s on-demand platform. Runs transcode, QC, and packages high volumes of top priority content files for clients listed above in addition to Google, Hulu, Pluto, Xbox, Microsoft, Comcast, and Vudu. Uses Adobe Premiere to edit commercials for broadcast. Encodes using both CML and XML to produce both SD and HD versions and WinSCP to deliver content.
