I have authored global signal reports such as aggregate data reports, PSURs and review of indeterminate signal reports. Additionally, I have been able to learn how to collate data for such reports i.e., literature reviews, sales data calculations and liaising with the regulatory team for safety variations on such drugs. Through my data collation activities I have used many excel functions such as VLOOKUP, VBA Code and PivotTables.

Being an optical assistant at Vision Express consisted of training on how to use ophthalmic machines, patient interaction, and understanding prescriptions. Given the high level of patient contact in this role it was important to maintain a high level of professionalism whilst delivering the best care possible. Additionally, working alongside optometrists, dispensing opticians and receptionists strengthened my ability to work in a multi-disipliniary team.

After partaking in some patient-forward work experiences ( shadowing a surgeon and GP experience) I decided to expand the types of environments I was working in and was able to spend 10days at Otsuka Pharmaceuticals.I rotated around different departments such as Reg Affairs, PV and Marketing and found regulatory affairs to be of particular interest - I liked the scientific non-lab based component of the job

One of my first work experiences in a hospital-based settingI was able to shadow a cardiothoracic surgeon for a weekOne of the biggest lessons I learned within this experience was how essential teamwork and communication are in a multi-disciplinary team and just how integral every health care personnel are from HCA's to diagnostic workers.I was also able to interact with patients which has allowed me to appreciate patient-centricity within Pharma

I was fortunate enough to shadow at a GP service for two weeks.I was able to sit-in on patient consultations , after receiving consent from patients.

I am thrilled to be starting in the highly competitive Future Leader Programme that GSK offers for committed and dedicated graduates in order to develop their careers to one day be leaders! The programme is in Global Regulatory Affairs with 4 six month rotations in Labelling, Content Delivery, CMC and UK&Ireland LOC.
