Since March 2023, I have been leading the Learning and Developing function for our Retail Managers. This consists of co-creating strategy with the Retail Director, and design innovative learning experiences to develop managers across 23 markets (600+ managers). The content had been delivered in key markets such as NA, Japan, Australasia and Europe. Reporting to the Global Retail Director, my role encompasses three key areas:+ Collaboration with Creative Teams:Collaborating closely with cross-functional Creative teams (Brand, Shop & Space Planning) to align the overall vision and strategy with Retail objectives.Highlights include co-leading the Window Campaigns in 2021, contributing in a +52% increase in festive range sales compared to 2019.Establishing the process of shop design collaboration, involving Shop & Space Planners and Managers.Launching the 'Merchandising for Sales Hub,' a global tool empowering stores with curated inspiration and information to leverage visual merchandising as a tool for driving sales.+ Global Retail Strategy:Steering global initiatives and strategy development.Specialising in areas such as Retail Sampling Strategy and In-store Product Personalisation.Providing invaluable insights and analytical support to priority markets, encompassing internal performance evaluations and industry-wide analyses to facilitate optimised property project investments.Representing Retail in the Global Property Circle, a forum responsible for reviewing and prioritising property investment proposals.+Market-Specific Consultancy:Offering tailored consultancy to market-specific needs.Example: Supporting the opening of new shop in Sweden, establishing market-specific support structures for retail, and facilitating peer-to-peer knowledge sharing.

Working with local retailers and markets to support the Concept Shops within the business:+ Lush Labs Harajuku, Tokyo, Japan+ Lush Labs Body Spray Pop UP, Soho, UK (closed)+ Fresh & Flowers, Paris, France+ The Perfume Library, Florence, Italy+ Lush Naked Shops (packaging - free cosmetics): Manchester - UK, Berlin - Germany, Milan - ItalyResponsibilities:- Working closely with the Concepts Director to develop the retail element of Lush's Concepts. - Working with the local teams to prepare a strategy when a new concept is being created.- Supporting any new elements (products, customer experience, furniture) launching in the core shops from concept shops.- Delivering the purpose of the brand conversations that concepts represent through customer experience.

Working with teams on a European core group level, I was responsible to innovate and coordinate training shop teams would receive if Lush was opening a new shop, or relocating an existing one; expanding the team and refreshing product knowledge and customer service standards.

Working closely with founders, inventors and retail teams, the aim of this role was to engage with the 1200+ staff force of the European core group Lush markets, aiding development by increasing confidence and product knowledge to provide excellent customer service and communicate brand messages.Responsibilities:Supporting shops across the UK & I, Sweden, the Netherlands and Belgium.Creation of creative training material shared with the brand on a global scale.Organisation and delivery of training events/ days/ meetings.
