Collaborate with the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI); International Water Management Institute (IWMI), and the Laos National Agriculture and Forestry Research Institute (NAFRI) in the implementation of the CGIAR Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security initiative “Climate Smart Villages (CSVs)”. Support small holder farmers in Ekxang village to develop, adapt, and innovate technologies and management practices for improving agriculture and food security in response to climate change effects. Facilitation of farmer action research trials and participatory assessments for selected technologies and climate change adaptation strategies.

Researched the geographical indicators (geological, environmental and socioeconomic) of shale gas development in Pennsylvania, USA. Created, organized, analysed, and managed the project’s geospatial databases using Arc GIS, SQL, Google Earth and Microsoft (Excel and Access). Prepared briefing notes, thematic maps, presentations, and analytical reports for project directors. Identified and mapped unconventional gas wells in accordance with “Pennsylvania's Act 13 (Unconventional Gas Well Impact Fee) of 2012” using gas well-specific databases related to drilling, permits, production, waste, and compliance reports. Identified and mapped gas wells omitted from Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Act 13 Report resulting in the loss of 200-300 million USD in impact fees annually in: Gehman, J., Mastroianni, D., Grant, A, and D.
