I have always believed that one of the main goals in life is to enrich it with diverse experience, even if it means taking a risk and straying off the well-worn path. After graduating with Distinction in my second honours and a few years in the financial services industry, my journey took me to Japan as an English educator. Along the way, in both finance and academia, I have learned an immeasurable number of hard and soft skills ranging from developing and implementing financial models to motivating disillusioned students. I have learned how to take complex ideas and present them in a consumable fashion to audiences of varying proficiencies. Financial markets still hold my keen interest, and the excitement derived from using my knowledge and skills to solve real-world problems is unparalleled. My unique experiences have given me the opportunities to improve my skills and develop new ones, but the journey doesn’t end there. Upon reaching every peak there is yet a higher mountain to climb, and more experiences to be met in every endeavour.
